A year ago, I took a chance and kissed Nick against a brick wall. He told me we'd never work, and left. Now I live in the guest room of his fancy apartment, because I don’t have another choice.

I just have to play it cool for six months.

I'm not cool. I'm late, loud, and I say every thought the second I have it. Nick is calm and careful, never has a stray emotion. That is until I eat an ice cream cone in front of him. Then we break all his rules.

He keeps saying this is the last time. I’ll take all the last times I can get.

I have rules. Keep it simple. Keep control. Never the same guy twice.

Then Alex moved in. He's a mess, he's honest, and he’s vulnerable like there’s no other way to be. He wants nothing from me but me, and I don't know what to do with that.

I'm good at leaving. Alex deserves someone who's good at staying.
